Big Week
This past week has been a busy one:

Easter and Smiles
Today was Carters first Easter! Because we're all sick we quarantined ourselves and spent a lazy day watching conference (I didn't get dressed until 2 pm and Mike's still in his PJ's). I was a little bit sad that we didn't get together with family as usual but Mike had an abstract for a conference he's attending in June due on Friday and spent the WHOLE day writing it. I love holidays and getting together with loved ones. I'm glad my Aunt Marni + kids, grandma, and Trevor could come up earlier in the week - made up a bit for the loner holiday. My Grandma gave Carter an Easter card and the message on the inside was word for word what my mom would always send in her holiday cards! I've thought about my mom a lot this week and am so grateful for Easter and our Savior's Resurrection and that I'll be able to see and be with her again some day.
On a different note Carter has turned into such a smiley baby - here's a couple of those moments captured.

BIG DEAL
I did it. I succumbed to peer pressure and the desire to wear cute little earings and I now have two self inflicted holes in my body. Julie may call me a Pirate but I think my pierced ears are great (even though Carter may look less than impressed in this picture).

Here We Go
OK. So I've decided to start a blog. I'm a little bit concerned about this as I am not the most computer savvy person out their (I definitely prefer a good ol' phone call over and e-mail!). But I've been motivated by a couple reasons. They are as follows:
Well there you go folks, raise your glasses, here's to me entering the virtual world of blogging! (again that is assuming I can navigate my way back to this page after I've left it!)
- Allow my non-facebooking relatives to keep updated on our little guy (that is assuming they are more computer savvy than me and can actually check the blog)
- I'm hoping it will motivate me to take more pictures, as I struggle with this at times
- To act as sort of a photo journal (though I do keep a good old fashioned pen and paper journal)
How could you not love this face?
