Mike and I (and a bunch more Balderson's) are lucky enough to be heading to Hawaii in just 10 short days. To say I'm excited would definitely be an understatement. BUT.... I'm already losing sleep at night over my fear of the plane ride with Carter! We're flying to Seattle, have a 4 hour layover, and then another 6 and a half hours to reach our tropical destination. Really from the time we have to arrive at the Calgary airport to when we land in Honolulu it will be about 15 hours of travel. For those of you who read this that witness Carter in person regularly you know that boy is BUSY. We've already tried children's gravel and he's one of the few where it causes off the wall hyperactivity! We have a prescription for a sleep med but I'm hoping to not have to use it. I feel like he is the worst age to be flying with - he's super mobile and interested in everything but not interested enough to sit and watch a DVD or play with a toy for longer than a minute or two. Suggestions people?????

Oh dear...I'm afraid I have no helpful suggestions but will be interested to see how it goes! I'm making the 9 hour flight to Canada in a couple months and am dreading it as well! At least Euan isn't walking yet!
ReplyDeleteGood LUCK!!! just make grandma and grandpa and aunties and uncles all take turns entertaining him!
ReplyDeleteWell I don't have much advice, but he may surprise you because he is good at falling asleep anywhere so when he gets tired enough he will crash. Also you know you can borrow our DVD player.
ReplyDeleteI should have clarified that the "bunch o' Baldersons" are all taking different flights - which means we're riding solo!
